Applicant must have hands-on design and development experience with Cognos 8 Business Intelligence tools, including all Studios, Framework Manager, Content Manager, Transformer, and Data Manager.
Applicant must have hands-on design and development experience with Cognos 8 Business Intelligence tools, including all Studios, Framework Manager, Content Manager, Transformer, and Data Manager. Applicant must be able to perform installation and configuration of Cognos software in an HP-UX environment. Experience developing BI architecture, complex relational and dimensional data models, and ETL processes are required. Experience with Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition on HP-UX 11.x, SQL and SQL Loader is required. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication (e.g., writing requirements and design specifications, etc) skills, be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and have ability to create design artifacts (Cognos models, E/R models, Use Case diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, etc). Must communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff members. Must possess outstanding and proven problem solving abilities, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with peers, management, and the NGB-AIS client.
Desired Skills:
·Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
·Embarcadero ER/Studio
·Working in a CMMI (Level 3) environment a plus
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Contingent upon certification of General Labor Category (GLC) which is based on experience and/or education.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Education/experience:
· 7 years of IT experience, with 1 year in supervision/lead of IT projects
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, H.S. diploma and an additional 7 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
