Performs analysis, design, implementation, and enhancements for new and existing supply chain systems. Participates as a senior project team member as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs analysis, design, implementation, and enhancements for new and existing supply chain systems.
Participates as a senior project team member as assigned.
Provides input for the feasibility of proposed projects.
Identifies system impact of changes to the company, user and operating systems.
Actively participates in design meetings with both IT and end user groups.
Prepares and submits new assignments and coordinates implementation.
Participates in testing, user training and result evaluation.
Oversees the technical implementation.
Trains end users or technical support staff to use programs.
Prepares functional and detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written.
Consults with Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users to identify system solutions to solve business issues.
Prepares the requirements definition including user procedures, flowcharts and preliminary report and screen definitions.
Provides the functional systems design, including final report and screen definitions, logical system flow and implementation plans.
Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex problems.
Analyzes and estimates feasibility, time and compatibility with other programs and applications.
Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs.
Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
Consults with Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users to prototype, refine, and test and debug programs to meet needs.
Provides production support as required.
May provide work direction or training for support personnel.
Evaluates results on production systems requested from user groups or production support.
Provides support for production systems to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Answers production questions from user groups.
Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs.
Analyze help desk development support tickets.
Supports programmer/analysts in business related issues.
Partners with users to identify system improvements that increase efficiencies.
Partners with other IT groups (DBA/Unix Admin) to identify system improvements that increase efficiencies.
Job Requirements :
SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to pay attention to detail and work independently.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to provide functional and detailed specifications from which a programmer may develop procedures.
Proven proficiency in multi-tasking and leadership skills.
Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix (Solaris), Korn Shell scripting, Microsoft Office, Visio.
EDUCATION:
Degree in related field or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
4-6 years of Supply Chain systems experience.
Oracle experience is mandatory.
Experience in Retail industry is desired, but not mandatory.
