Business Development Manager – Fairfax, VA

Softworld, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join a high performing team in our Fairfax, VA office.  A proven track record in the contract staffing or technical services industry is required.  Individuals with any amount of local or national contract Sales or Recruiting experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying and develop relationships with prospects through networking, cold/warm calling, and leads
  • Source qualified contract and perm job requisitions
  • Meet or exceed Gross Profit and Start goals as set by your manager
  • Maintain strong Gross Profit margins using strong knowledge of the IT Consulting market and skilled negotiations with clients.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with your recruiting partners to qualify reqs and deliver consultants to Softworld clients
  • Stay up to date on trends within the industries and technology sectors that you support

Qualifications

  • Strong background in sales and new business development experience within contract staffing.
  • Experience in creating successful staffing and hiring solutions for a variety of industries and company sizes.
  • 3-5+ years of experience initiating and maintaining long-lasting client relationships, and negotiating service contracts and fees.
  • Ability to proactively promote candidates to support our customer base.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to be comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Must be a goal-oriented team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Accounting Manager – Waltham, MA

Softworld, Inc is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to help oversee our accounting department. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls, tracking high volume corporate client accounts and building a strong financial team. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to our CFO and play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA/MBA a plus
  • 5+ years Public accounting and/or corporate experience, services industry a plus
  • 2+ years managing, training and developing of staff level employees
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining superior level of productivity
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
  • Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
  • Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
  • Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules

Strongly Preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains financial system software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on complex spreadsheet functions
  • Experience with FRx and/or Crystal report writer

Nice to Have

  • Tax experience with emphasis on employee withholding and sales tax withholding and payments
  • Experience with Annual business filings and registrations
  • Technical experience with system integrations

Project Associate

Project Associate (Vita Data Sciences, a Division of Softworld)— Waltham

Support project management activities at Vita Data Sciences. Responsible for the day-to-day support of client projects and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to client expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, documents and communication tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other relevant documents for prospective clients in the life sciences industry.
  • Read, understand and train clinical study team on the protocol and study/project objectives.
  • Lead kickoff meetings and other clinical project related meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop project schedules, and review (or analyze) project cost, scope, schedule and quality.
  • Ensure good clinical practice (GCP) compliance to the organization’s policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in the field of health sciences, business management and other related courses
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of Clinical trials, drug development and ICH GCP guidelines is a plus
  • Should be able to manage the assigned projects independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
