Life Sciences Recruiter — Waltham, MA

Softworld, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Life Sciences Recruiting professional to join a high performing team in our Waltham, MA office. A proven track record in the contract Life Sciences staffing is required. Individuals with any amount of local or national contract Life Sciences experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Source and develop relationships with life science consultants through networking, cold/warm calling, and referrals
  • Utilize internal database, job boards, LinkedIn, Social Media, User Groups, and other sources to identify and recruit consultants within your area of technical expertise.
  • Develop technical expertise in one or more of Softworld’s recruiting sectors (Validation, SAS Programming, Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management)
  • Manage candidates through the entire recruiting life cycle including submittal, interview preparation, offer acceptance, and onboarding.

Solutions Manager (Life Sciences) – Waltham, MA

This individual will be accountable for business development in the Life Science space including the following: territory management, lead identification and qualification, cold calling, setting appointments, creating and developing proposals and pricing models, making presentations, documenting customer agreements (e.g., contract, service agreement), closing sales through effective negotiation, documenting sales activities and may conduct business reviews.  After the account has been sold, the Business Development Representative is responsible for partnering with the companies to ensure effective service delivery. Successful business development will result in cost-effective, quality solutions for our customers for staffing, FSP, and professional services within the Life Science space.

Principal Statistical Programmer

Responsibilities include: Develop statistical programs in SAS to generate the clinical datasets, tables, listings and figures. Serve as lead programmer on multiple projects across various different therapeutic areas. Provide training and mentoring to junior programmers in the team. Utilizing strong project management skills and ability to engage key stakeholders; leadership at a protocol level; determining approach and ensuring consistency, and directing development of others when opportunities arise. Maintaining and managing a programming tracker for work assignments and tracking of programming deliverables. Communicates effectively within a project team to complete assigned tasks on time and within budget. Develop and review CDISC SDTM and ADaM mapping specifications. Perform validation and QC of the programs, datasets and statistical reports per study requirements. Responsible for study closeout and

providing submission-ready statistical programming deliverables to the client. Ensure

compliance of CDISC SDTM and ADaM datasets by running Pinnacle 21 validator and

documenting issues. Generate and review submission documents such as define.xml, SDTM annotated CRF, and reviewers guide. Effectively implement and promote use of established standards, SOP and best practices. Position is in Waltham, MA and other locations as assigned. If relocation is required, relocation assistance will be provided.

Must have a Master’s degree in pharmaceutical administration, pharmacy or a related field and one year professional experience

Sr. Java Developer

Responsibilities include: write high-quality software code that complies with design specifications and meets development and support requirements. Instrumental in all aspects of software engineering including but not limited to gathering requirements, assisting in design, implementation, testing and user support. Participate in technical design and development by using J2EE technologies. Participate in the development of frameworks including Spring (MVC and Boot). Gathers information to assist with interpreting the business requirements. Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather and understand the requirements. Analyzes users needs and contribute to envisioning system features and functionality. Provide design solutions and develop the software. Interpret the feasibility of integrating the solution into the existing framework. Prepare technical specifications. Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom.  Development. Determine design methodologies and toolsets; completing programming languages and software products. Develop Java programs to facilitate both batch and real-time processing. Design, code, unit test and deploy Java, Weblogic components. Provide quick resolutions to front-end and middleware production/non production issues. Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities. Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools. Document aspects of application changes including technical designs and modifications. Make the information available to all application groups. Deploy miscellaneous technical components. Improve the functionality of the system and address non-conformities. Track changes and implement corrections in keeping with the release management processes. Interact with junior level java developers to perform implementations. Conduct unit testing, integration testing and regression testing activity ensuring the software produced does not negatively impact overall enterprise stability.
