Softworld, along with our partners at USAA, continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and prepare for a wide range of possible scenarios – with your health and safety as a top priority. We have been in constant communication with the highest levels of the USAA technology leadership team. They have clearly communicated to us that maintaining business continuity, keeping our ODC workforce productive, and avoiding disruptions to development operations is of critical importance to them.

I want to acknowledge all of your swift responses to the multitude of messages from both Consultant Care and your recruiter during these unprecedented times. Thanks in part to your cooperation, I have GREAT news! After a lot of hard work and configuration work with USAA, the Softworld ODC has been granted Work from Home privileges during the COVID-19 crisis.

We will be sending everyone at the ODC Softworld issued laptops to ensure everyone has the same capabilities and that there will be no delays in production.

This process will take some time, so please be patient as we configure your laptop for use and access in a Work From Home environment. The rollout is estimated to take 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. This WFH access will be available to everyone at the ODC, and there will be no reduction in force.

We want to thank you for all of your hard work. Being able to move such a large group to remote access is no easy task, but if we continue to work together as we have been – we will succeed, and we will make it through these trying times. Please look out for additional correspondence as we prepare to ship laptops to every member of the ODC.

The ODC is the center piece of a long standing partnership between USAA and Softworld. USAA views the work you do as critical to their overall operation. They are moving quickly to ensure there is minimal disruption to not only the important work the ODC delivers, but more importantly to the valuable employees that are doing that work. While future events are difficult to predict, both USAA and Softworld are committed to developing a plan quickly in order to dispel uncertainty and provide a sense of security for all our ODC team members.
